Our new ordering system explained simply!
The City of Berlin has decided that all school caterers must switch to an ordering system. The goal is to make the management of meal orders more transparent, enable better planning, involve parents and children, and ultimately reduce food waste.
Luna has implemented this ordering system in accordance with these guidelines.
The new ordering system may take some getting used to at first, but it offers many benefits: a clear overview and better planning for your children’s and their siblings’ favorite meals.
Luna Fact Check – How Does the New Luna Ordering System Work?
With the new Luna ordering system, parents can order lunch for their children online. Registration takes place via the parent portal, where a user account is created. Once registered, all children can be added to the same account. Orders can be placed on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis.
A major advantage of the new system is its flexibility, as orders can still be placed by 8:00 a.m. on the same day. Changes or cancellations are possible until 6:00 p.m. the day before. This means that the Luna lunch can still be adjusted at a later time.

Lunch is free for students in grades 1 through 6 at many Berlin schools. So it’s definitely worth taking a look at our varied Luna menu. After logging in to the parent portal, you’ll see the monthly order summary. Here, you can easily select the meals you’d like for your children. To make sure no meal is forgotten, we send email reminders. That way, there’s still plenty of time to order your child’s favorite meal in advance.
